Announcing the newest BuildOS module: Operator+

Today we’re happy to launch the largest expansion to the BuildOS platform to date, Operator+ and the Runs Dashboard! These two additions close the gap between the shop floor and engineering:

• Operator+ – your operators complete your BuildOS instructions and interact with the 3D model, all while capturing cycle times and adding feedback on errors encountered and suggestions to the instructions.
• Runs Dashboard – a new dashboard for engineers and supervisors to monitor performance data, identify issues early, and iterate on and improve instructions.

These two additions to the BuildOS platform are a major unlock for operators and supervisors—linking high quality instructions with real-time performance data and operator feedback in one place.

1. Operator+ — Paperless Instructions with Performance Intelligence

Operator+ allows operators perform BuildOS instructions right in the platform, while automatically logging tracking information, cycle times, and any notes, errors, or suggestions your operators record

Timed Performance

BuildOS collects performance times behind the scenes while your operators complete instruction steps. This time information allows engineers to monitor performance, identify abnormalities, and predict throughput more accurately.

Live Feedback Collection

Operators can now log feedback during performance of any BuildOS instruction:

• Errors to identify non-conformances and other issues preventing completion
• Work notes for observations and abnormalities
• Suggestions to change an instruction, which can easily be incorporated in the next instruction revision
• Recorded data for capturing manufacturing data for auditing or quality assurance

Smart Traceability

Operators identify tracking information to each run, as specified by the engineer who made the instructions. Identifying serial number, work order, lots numbers, or other fields allows you to easily identify issues, determine impact, and perform root cause analysis faster than ever before.

2. Runs Dashboard — Deep Insights into Production Data

The Runs Dashboard displays your performance metrics, feedback from your operators, and pinpoints abnormalities in a single place.

Timing Matters

Instantly see total and average build times, with automatic highlights for abnormally slow times. Use filters for instruction, revision, or operator to zero in on bottlenecks fast.

Audit Every Detail

Need proof of torque values, calibration due dates, or other data? It’s all collected and visible, per step alongside any non-conformances found during production—ready to help you identify your weak points and feed your future continuous-improvement initiatives.

Tighten The Loop — From Production To Instruction

Quickly see what feedback all of your operators gave to improve an instruction. Simply filter for runs with suggestions, tweak the steps they flagged, and publish an improved revision with confidence.
